RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CELL ACTIVITIES

          Research and Development Cell of our college has organized various programs to promote research in various departments of the institute.

  1. A technical seminar on “Wireless Sensor Network” was conducted on 14th July, 2017, for Electronics and Communication Engineering students. The seminar was presented by Mrs.M.Sathya Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Pondicherry University.
  2. Registration for ISTE student and Faculty chapter was completed. Totally 674 students registered for ISTE out of which 300 students of Mechanical engineering, 107 of Civil, 128 of ECE, 41 of IT and 13 students of EEE.
  3. An in-house workshop on “FPGA DESIGN TECHNIQUES USING XILINX FRONT END TOOL” was conducted for ECE students on 16th and 17th of November 2017.
  4. To foster youth-driven tech innovations, R&D cell submitted students’ project proposals for Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Awards on 29th November, for the academic year 2017-2018. All department students contributed in submitting the proposal.

  1. Two days Faculty Development Program on the topic “Teaching Techniques” was conducted on 8th and 9th February, 2018. K.Nirmal Kumar, Resource Trainer, ICT Academy, elucidated various teaching methods to captivate the attention of students and enlighten them.
  2. A seminar was organized for the welfare of I Year B.Tech students on the topic “Motivational Thoughts and Skills for Technical Students.” Prof.Dr.Mukhopadhyay, Former Professor and Head, Department of Educational Management and Applied Psychology, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, adorned the event as the guest and motivated the students to develop positive attitude and work hard like the former President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam for attaining the peak of success. Dr.Suresh Sundaram, Associate Professor of Psychology, Department of Applied Psychology, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Chennai, urged the students to strengthen their creative power and English language skills for prospering in their career. On this occasion, students of Balaji Higher Secondary School, Embalam, and Subramaniya Bharathiyar Higher Secondary School, Thirukanur, received the best performer Mathematics award.
  3. A seminar was arranged for the students of Mechanical and Civil Engineering on the topic “Carrier Opportunities in Core Company” through ICT Academy, Puduchery, on 10th Mr.Venkatesh, HR, Infra Ltd, Chennai, was the resource person.
  4. R.Uma, Professor of ECE and Head, R&D Cell conducted a workshop on the topic “ASIC Based Digital Design Using Micro wind Software for II year students of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  5. One Day Workshop was organized on the topic “Scripting of Assembly Language Programming and its Application Development using 8085 Emulator for the students of II year Information Technology and III year Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Dr.R.Uma, Professor of ECE and Head, R&D Cell explained basics of assembly language of 8085 using emulator, methodology of developing small applications, testing and debugging process.
